La Paz Service Center was started by four friends in 1985. They opened their shop on La Paz Road with excitement and a vision, which was well-received by the community. In 1992, they became the first business to set up shop in Commerce Center on Aliso Creek Road, where “La Paz” is still located today, and where the “La Paz” vision continues – to provide the kind of excellence in customer service and automotive expertise that warrants customer referrals.

Steve Benson
Owner/Manager
Steve worked at La Paz for 10 years prior to ownership. Steve is an ASE Certified Master Technician and has had many years of experience in the automotive industry; however, he quickly realized La Paz was a special kind of shop with a vision he appreciated. When the opportunity arose to purchase La Paz Steve did not hesitate, fulfilling his dream of owning a shop. He enjoys helping people one car at a time and continuing the legacy and reputation of La Paz Service Center.
Chris Perez
Service Writer
Chris has been at La Paz Service Center for 20 years. He is dedicated to the vision of excellence in customer service and automotive expertise. Chris knows loyal customers by name and many consider him a friend. He also enjoys meeting new customers and sharing the La Paz vision with them. He advises customers just as he would advise family members.
Eric Sorensen
Lead Technician/Shop Manager
Eric has worked at La Paz Service Center for 19 years. Eric is a Master Technician who is dedicated to his craft. He takes great pride in the work he performs for customers and is always quick to provide a helping hand or offer his expertise. Eric has expertise in all makes and models and has a special interest in European cars.
La Paz Service Center is proud to be a family-owned and operated business. Steve Benson and his wife Lori are the owners. They are extremely thankful to work with a team of dedicated automotive experts who have been part of the La Paz team for many years! In addition, both of their grown children provide talents of their own, including bookkeeping, marketing, and business advisement.
